Dyer Aqua is a vertically-integrated business

Our biologists supervise each step in the process, from conditioning our spawning fish to cutting and packing fresh fillets. In so doing, we assure our customers they will receive only premium-quality fresh, never-frozen fish.

Broodstock Carefully selected healthy adult fish spawn eggs in our Florida facilities.

Hatchery
Eggs are hatched at the Sebatian facility and larval fish are reared on live zooplankton which we culture in-house. Over the course of several weeks, larval fish are eventually weaned onto pellet foods which meet or exceed USFDA standards.

Grow-Out
After the hatchery phase, fish are moved to ocean pens where they are grown to market size. Harvested fish are treated with care from the moment they are netted from the pen. They are immediately immersed in an ice slurry, then packed fresh on ice in insulated containers. These containers are expedited to Save On Seafood, our packing affiliate in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Processing and packing
In St. Petersburg, skilled workers inspect and fillet each fish by hand, ensuring consistent portions, adding value to this premium product. This climate-controlled packing facility has state-of-the-art equipment to package and manage the fresh inventory.  Whole fish and fillets are packed on ice in insulated 10-pound containers.
