Dyer Aqua is a team of well-educated individuals, including. Most employees hold a Bachelor of Science, two Ph.D.s, seven Masters of Science, one MBA.

Chief Executive Officer, Roderick Reed earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from Southern Methodist University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Arkansas.  He has fifteen years of experience in financial institutions, including positions of chief financial officer and chief executive officer. Mr. Reed has also consulted for the financial and rental industries and served as CEO of a retail rental company chain.

Director of Research, Nick Nevid, Ph.D., earned his doctorate from Louisiana State University in Physiology, working on immune function in marine fish, and completed postdoctoral work on molecular signaling processes of hormones. He supervises all aspects of research and production of marine species, which includes broodstock, hatchery, and grow-out production.

Food Fish Production Director, Nasir Kureshy earned a Master of Mariculture from the University of Texas and has been a commercial marine food fish manager for ten years.  Mr. Kureshy also has experience in marine fish research with the Marine Science Institute and is experienced in production of warm-water marine species.

Alexis Cabarcas-Nuñez, Ph.D. is the Production Manager for Expansion Sites.  Mr. Cabarcas earned his graduate studies degree in Marine Science from the University of Puerto Rico.  In addition, Mr. Cabarcas has served as a professor at the Interamerican University.

Food Fish Broodstock manager, Jason Hyde received his Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from Long Island University and was employed by Disney in maintaining Epcot’s Living Seas exhibit in Orlando, Florida. Mr. Hyde has more than four years’ experience maintaining and spawning food fish at Dyer Aqua.

Trevor Meyer, Food Fish Production Manager, earned a Master of Applied Fish Biology from the University of Plymouth U.K.  Mr. Meyer has 10 years of experience managing large offshore cage operations in Malta, Turkey, and Libya.  He is knowledgeable in all aspects of production from hatchery to harvest, and has worked with numerous species of marine fish.

Assistant Broodstock manager Chris Robinson received a Master of Mariculture from Texas A & M University and has experience in both production and research of marine fish.

Fabricio Bueno co-manages our hatchery in Sebastian. A larval rearing expert, Mr. Bueno received his Bachelor’s degree from Jacksonville University and a Masters in Aquaculture from Auburn University.  His graduate research focused on the larval rearing of red snapper.

Glenn Hitzfelder manages our hatchery in Sebastian. Mr. Hitzfelder received a Masters in Mariculture from Texas A&M University following his Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology. He has extensive experience rearing cobia larvae.

Jean-Benoit Muguet manages our hatchery in The Bahamas. With a Masters in Aquaculture from the University of Montpellier, France and a Masters in Animal Science from the University of California Davis, Mr. Muguet has obtained extensive commercial experience both in Europe and the United States.

Eric Wagner conducts research relating to each area of the production process.  These findings allow for continual refinements to be made to growth rates, fish quality, and more. Mr. Wagner received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Science from the University of Miami and a Masters degree in Aquaculture from Auburn University.
